WOMEN'S HOCKEY ADVISING
Olivia King is a dedicated athlete and scholar from Garrison, MN. A three-sport letter winner at Brainerd High School, she earned five letters in hockey and was a four-time Central Lakes All-Conference honoree. Olivia was recognized as Athlete of the Year in her senior year and attended USA Hockey Development Camps in 2015 and 2016.
As a senior, she led the Warriors to a 25-5-1 overall record and state runner-up finish at the 2019 Minnesota Class AA State Tournament. Earned a place on the state all-tournament team after recording a 1.88 goals against average and .944 save percentage with one shutout in three state tournament games. Played in 30 games and had a 24-5-1 record with a 1.61 goals against average and a .920 save percentage with five shutouts in 2018-19.
Continuing her athletic career, Olivia played five years of NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Minnesota and later pursued a master’s degree at the University of St. Thomas. As a collegiate student-athlete, she earned several honors, including All-American Scholar (2024), Academic All-Big Ten (2021-2024), WCHA Scholar-Athlete (2021-2024), and inclusion on the WCHA All-Academic Team.
Olivia was also consistently named to the Dean’s List from 2020 to 2023 and received the ACHA Scholar All-Athlete award in 2020-2021. She was part of the 2022-2023 WCHA Tournament Champion team and the 2021-2022 Regular Season Champion team with the Gophers.
With firsthand experience and a deep understanding of high-level competition, Olivia is the perfect mentor for aspiring women’s hockey players. From high school standout to collegiate scholar-athlete, she knows the value of hard work, resilience, and constant improvement. She’s here to help young athletes find success in women’s hockey, offering the guidance and support they need to reach their full potential and succeed at the next level.
