ABOUT BULLDOG
Sports have been the central focus of my life. I grew up in Delano, MN, and attended Delano High School, where I earned four varsity letters in hockey and two in football. At Delano High School, I was nicknamed “bulldog” due to my determination on the ice and on the field.
While playing high school hockey, I was fortunate to be twice named to the All-Wright County Conference First Team, was team captain, and most valuable player, was selected to play in the MN Great 8 tournament, and was named All-State honorable mention. I also hit the books off the ice and was able to be an honor roll student.
After graduating, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior as a Criminal Justice major, where I was named Rookie of the Year while playing hockey for the Yellowjackets.
After my hockey career came to a close, I became passionate about developing my younger hockey-playing brother, Garrett, and others, taking what I learned from my hockey career to help guide them. Hence, Bulldog Advising and Development LLC was born. My brother went on to play Minnesota high school hockey at Delano as well as Holy Family, a private school. From there, he played in the USHL, two years at the University of Minnesota, and is currently playing for the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Our Core Values at Bulldog Advising & Development:
Determination- Never give up. Keep working and success will come.
Accountability- Never make excuses. Own your mistakes.
Preparation- Be the most prepared on your team through training, video, and practice.
Professionalism- Carry yourself in a manner where others look up to you. Be a leader, on and off the ice.
Detail-Oriented- The little details matter in life and in the sport.
My process to help a player achieve their goals is to place them on a team in the best situation at the right time. I believe that when a player is put into a fitting situation on a team, they will succeed. I help develop the players mentally and physically and instill the belief in them that they will succeed. I will also assist the players with setting up high-level training and ensuring they are doing well academically. In addition to being a well-rounded person, my goal is to ensure that the player will become a positive asset to the workforce in the future. I am known to put in the work (whatever it takes) on and off the ice as needed with my players
